Inspired by the Duchy’s dramatic coastline, historic harbours and industrial heritage, Richard seeks to capture the essence of Cornwall through expressive colour, texture and light rather than literal representation.

This experience has developed a deep understanding of proportion, composition, colour and materials—qualities that are reflected in the considered balance and sophistication of his paintings.
